When electrical engineering graduate Jerry Yang met fellow student David Filo, their mutual interest in cataloging websites led them to found internet portal Yahoo! The entrepreneur then went on to set up AME Cloud Ventures, investing in data-based start-up companies.
Born Yang Chi-Yuan in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1968, Jerry Yang moved with his family to the city of San Jose, California, aged 10.
