After content is in the system, it’s time to put it to work. You might think this is the easy part. Functionally, it is much easier than the creation and capture portions of the ECM life cycle, but strategically, it’s very difficult. We have found many organizations that are several years past an initial SharePoint deployment looking back and realizing that the adoption of this technology has not really improved a business process. In many cases, it has either become a web version of a shared drive silo or a collection of mismatched sites that aren’t easily navigated by users.
