Implementing an ERM program in a company can be relatively easy, to nearly impossible. It all depends on various factors, which include the type of industry, the size of the organization, the business model, the geographical footprint, the level of regulations that a company is managed by or monitored by, the culture of the organization, and the resources used to create and implement the program. This chapter will focus on the initial selling of the new ERM program to obtain ELT and Board of Director support and approval to move forward.
