“There has to be a better way!” I remember saying these words to myself after yet another board meeting, which I felt was unproductive. We were clearly not hearing each other, the emotions in the room were overwhelming, and we were not getting anywhere in our approach.
I am writing this book because 10 years ago, I took steps to understand what was going on with me and all the other people on the board, as well as the problems I was encountering in various companies and teams.
