Preface
This book, which is the first in the series, Electromagnetics, Wireless, Radar, and Microwaves (edited by Branislav Notaroš), arose out of course notes for a one-semester second-year graduate course offered at the University of Colorado Boulder on the formulation and solution of the boundary problems of electromagnetics. The reader who consults other references on the subject will note that, while some of our coverage is quite standard, other parts of the treatment follow a rather idiosyncratic path, reflecting our desire to keep the presentation at a certain level or our conviction that some concepts have more importance than is often accorded them.
