Sawan Sen received her B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in physics and B.Tech. in electrical engineering from the University of Calcutta in 2001 and 2004, respectively. In 2006 and 2012 she obtained her M.Tech. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calcutta, India. She is currently working as associate professor of the Academy of Technology (Electrical Engineering Department), West Bengal. Her main research interests include power system stability analysis, system performance enhancement and different soft computing techniques for solving power system problems like congestion management, cost optimization and electricity pricing under regulated, deregulated and smart grid environments.
