When I was in third grade, there was a carnival at my elementary school and I won a chocolate cake in the cakewalk. Each of the prize cakes was made by class mothers, and each had a small hand-typed slip noting which teacher’s class had donated the cake. The one I won happened to be one that was donated by someone in my own class, so it had my teachers name on it. I was thrilled because, after all, who doesn’t like chocolate cake?
