Steady State Induction Machine Drives
5.1 Introduction
In this chapter, we will introduce induction machine drive systems that are based on observations drawn from steady state behavior of the machine. To do so, we need to closely examine the steady state model of an induction machine particularly with regard to its torque–speed characteristics.
This chapter will only focus on the fundamental aspects of the drive systems discussed and will not include the actual circuits that need to be employed to realize them.
