Chapter 16. Message-driven bean development

This chapter provides detailed instructions on how to create a message-driven bean (MDB) that acts as a front-end to the existing banking application.

We describe the design of the application, then implement the MDB, and also develop two clients, a servlet and a J2EE application client, that feed messages to the MDB.

We also describe the setup of the server with a JMS queue for the MDB so that we can test the MDB with the two clients.
