Part 1. Introducing Eclipse, AspectJ, and AJDT
This part of the book is a practical introduction to Eclipse, AspectJ, and the AspectJ Development Tools (AJDT). It covers how to obtain and install all the software we will be using, and gives you a feel for what it is like to work with AspectJ within Eclipse. Chapter 1 introduces Eclipse and shows you how to install both AJDT and the sample projects that we will be using for the remaining chapters. In Chapter 2 we introduce the Simple Insurance application, write our first aspect, and learn about some of the basics of the AspectJ language.
