Macs are hubs for digital devices. iPods, iPhones, and mobile phones connect to the Mac’s USB port to sync and share files. You can also connect speakers, wireless keyboards, mice, and other Bluetooth, USB, or FireWire devices to your Mac. External hard drives, including iPods that are configured as hard drives, enable you to copy files to an external device, or make your files more mobile by syncing them to an iPod or iPhone.
