ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Ashok K. Jain is a former Professor of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (Formerly University of Roorkee), obtained B.E. and M.E. degrees with Honours from the University of Roorkee in 1972 and 1974, and doctorate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1978. He has over 40 years of experience in exploring the dynamic behaviour of RC buildings to bridges, bracing members to braced steel frames, steel bridges to TV towers, RC water tanks, effect of over ground explosions on airport hangars and retaining walls, and wind loads on TV and MW towers.
