HDMI
Using the Droid X’s HDMI port, you can watch videos or photos from your Droid X on a TV or a monitor. You can control two settings here:
HDMI Format. In order to display properly on the TV or monitor, the Droid X needs to use the proper HDMI format. Tap HDMI Format, and you come to a screen that lists HDMI formats, like 480p @ 60HZ, which tells you the resolution (480 pixels) and the refresh rate (60 HZ) of the TV or monitor to which you’re connecting. You have to get this information from the documentation on the TV or monitor. Your best bet, though, is to choose Automatic, because the Droid X will then sense the correct setting and use that one. Come back to this screen and select a manual setting if Automatic doesn’t work.
Allow incoming calls. When this setting is turned on, you can receive calls on your Droid X when you’re using the HDMI port to watch videos or photos on a TV or monitor. But when the call comes in, your video playback or photo viewing will be interrupted. Uncheck it if you want to make sure your viewing isn’t interrupted—but of course, you then won’t be able to receive calls.
