Chapter 8. Mail Routing Setup and Maintenance

Mail routing is the single most important service that Domino provides. It is also the most likely to cause trouble for the administrator. The mail router is the Domino component that transfers documents between Notes databases. (The replicator also transfers documents between Notes databases, but only between replica databases—the mail router transfers documents between all databases, replicas and non-replicas.) Domino mail routing provides the basis not only for Notes electronic mail but also for most Notes workflow applications.
