About the Author
Sheila Curran Bernard is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker with credits on nearly 50 hours of theatrical and broadcast programming, in addition to work for classroom, web, and community use. With Kenn Rabin, she is also the author of Archival Storytelling: A Filmmaker’s Guide to Finding, Using, and Licensing Third-Party Visuals and Music. She has been honored with fellowships at the MacDowell Colony for the Arts and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and in 2005 served as the Anschutz Distinguished Fellow in American Studies at Princeton University. In 2008, she joined the faculty at the University at Albany, State University of New York.
