CC-NUMA

CC-NUMA is a special type of multiprocessor system that has mountable processor capability.

In CC-NUMA, the SMP system and the other remote nodes communicate through the remote interconnection link. Each of these remote nodes contains local memory and processors of their own.

The following diagram represents the cache-coherent non-uniform memory access architecture:

The nature of memory access is non-uniform. Just like SMP, the CC-NUMA system provides a comprehensive insight into an entire system's memory, and as the name suggests, it takes non-uniform time to access either close or distant memory locations.
