We do acknowledge COVID-19, a truly black swan event, and its effect in general as well as the devastating after-effects of this coronavirus pandemic on the economy, government, and financial community. This black swan event will have a lasting impact on financial reporting in general – as all recessions and downturns in economic activity tend to change the financial and reporting rules.
