Organizing Photos with Shutterfly

In Shutterfly, the procedures for moving and copying photos between albums start out the same as moving them within albums as described in the previous section. First, you select photos by adding a checkmark, and then choose from the list of commands at the right of the screen.

Moving, Copying, and Deleting Photos

To move or copy photos, click the “View & enhance” tab to see all your Shutterfly albums. Then follow these steps:

  1. Click the album you want to move or copy photos from.

You see thumbnails of the album’s contents.

  2. Turn on the checkboxes under each shot you want to move or copy.

When you want to move or copy all (or most) photos in the album, click “all” at the top of the panel. Then turn off the checkboxes for any shots you want to leave out.

    Tip

To save time when moving or copying an entire album, don’t select anything. When you get to step 4, Shutterfly asks if you want all of the photos in the album. To answer yes, click Enter.

  3. At the left of the screen, click “Organize pictures.”

Three commands appear below: “Arrange pictures,” “Move pictures,” and “Copy pictures.”

  4. Click “Move pictures” or “Copy pictures.”

The next screen asks you to choose an album (or create a new one), to move or copy the selected photos into.

You can preview your selection at the bottom of the screen; to start over, click the Cancel button at right.

  5. Choose an existing album from the drop-down menu, or type a name for a new one. Then click Next to seal the deal.
