We would like to thank all the authors for their patience, effort and commitment in writing their contributions to this book. We are grateful for the chapters, our discussants, as well as the foreword and outlook, which all provide a sense of the kinds of meetings in which the idea for this book was born. In a way the book is a synthesis of the various meetings we’ve had with each other and with all of the authors; meetings focusing on mutual research interests.
