Software
Software is an integral part of digital photography. Without software the images on your media card are of no use to anyone.
Even so, I have intentionally left software-based assignments out of Digital Photo Assignments, with the exception of Assignment 35-Using DSLR Video. This book is capture based, with the assumption that the course instructor will introduce you to the software they want you to use and how to import and edit your images.
If you are not currently in school, there are a number of targeted books you can use to teach yourself the important software programs. Here are some software suggestions that may save you both time and money.
