The initial conversation with a prospective affiliate will range over a number of things, including how they met us, why they are interested, what they do in their business, who their typical clients are, and much more. Beyond that, we always make sure we cover the following, which I’ve organized as initial discovery, business compatibility, and contractual stuff.

We look for three key things in a relationship with an affiliate:
1. Trust
a. Because we deal across distance
b. Because we deal in intellectual property
c. Because we want to capture the economies of trust in doing business
