Chapter 8. Backup
Planning the Exchange backup strategy and designing the backup infrastructure is a very important task in an Exchange deployment. You need to keep your recovery-related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in mind when you make your decisions about the number of mailboxes hosted on a single server, or the maximum mailbox size. You may be tempted to host 5000 mailboxes with a 2 GB mailbox quota on a single server. Are you sure that you can back up the server within the backup window and recover your databases according to the SLAs?
