It is not a new idea, though it is a revolutionary one. Modern design entrepreneurship has been around at least since the late nineteenth century when William Morris’ Arts and Crafts workshops, manned by ardent artisans and designers, hand produced everything from typefaces to books to furniture destined for sale in a marketplace of special devotees.
