In this chapter, the techniques of how to populate and extract DB2 data using the LOAD and UNLOAD utilities will be examined. The different options for using these utilities will be examined along with a discussion of some of the performance options.

We will also take a close look at the REORG utility. There are many options available on the REORG utility and we will take a look at many of those. In addition we will also examine the parallelism available for objects that are involved in the REORG process.
