12 Introduction to Video
Your Nikon Z9/Z8 is bristling with professional-level video features capable of interfacing with equally high-end recorders and other accessories. Pro videographers are actually capturing footage for feature films with these cameras. Fortunately, for the rest of us, shooting movies with the Nikon Z9/Z8 can be as easy as flipping a switch—the Photo/Video mode switch located to the right of the viewfinder. If you’re looking for no-fuss, casual video, after you’ve selected Video mode, press the red Video button located on top of the camera, just southwest of the shutter-release button. Capture will start; press the Video button again to stop recording. That’s all there is to grabbing good video clips.
