William Sims Bainbridge has written 30 academic books and about 300 articles or book chapters, in areas such as technological innovation, social movements, and modern culture. Beginning in the 1980s, he programmed much educational and research software incorporating machine learning or rule-based artificial intelligence, and has edited encyclopedias on human-computer interaction and leadership in science and technology.
