Introduction
When Kristine and I worked together I struggled a lot. My character was a chief detective and was questioning a murderer, which meant I had to be assertive and tough. I thought it was so far from me that I would have to do a lot of character work and practices to get to that place, which not only prevented me from listening and staying active and alive in rehearsal but made me doubt my talent and ability greatly, so instead Kristine asked me to speak the text in Arabic which is the language I speak at home and therefore the language where I am probably my truest self.
