2.1 Introduction

This chapter introduces the basic sketch drawings. Users can quickly sketch their ideas.

Sketch is 2D drawing created on specific planar reference to develop 3D objects. In sketch mode, create various section geometry (line, rectangle, circle, arc, etc.), add dimensions and constraints.

For file management purposes, a new part will be developed and saved, opened, and closed.

2.1.1 Select Working Directory

Working Directory

• Keeping files (parts, assemblies, drawings, etc.) organized increases efficiency in modeling.

Although Creo Parametric can retrieve necessary files from different locations, you are capable of setting a designated location to keep files in. The working directory is usually the modeling point for all Creo Parametric objects. When a new file is saved, it is saved in the current working directory, unless a new directory is specified.
