The one thing about life that never changes is the fact that it always changes, and particularly so when you set out actively to achieve specific goals. As the playwright George Bernard Shaw said: ‘Progress is impossible without change, and those who can’t change their minds can’t change anything.’

The ultimate aim of any personal improvement programme is to become a changed person – to bring out those latent qualities in you that you desire and quell your less desirable qualities – and using creative visualization is no different. This chapter addresses preparing yourself for a programme of change, and why it’s important to want and anticipate change in your life before you visualize.
