SoftGrid is a big application with lots of functionality. First we'll go over the components of SoftGrid, then we'll cover the installation of the server components. But even then, all we've done is spin up a new server with a whole lot of nothing going on. It's going to take the next big section "Installing and Using the SoftGrid Client" to sling out our first application to our clients. Well, sling isn't a technical term. The proper term is stream.
So, settle in for a long haul, dear reader—it's going to be a while before we see the fruits of our labor.
