One of the most important things to keep in mind with any costume or cosplay is having the proper hair. What would Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz be without her braided and beribboned pigtails? It may not always be possible to use your own hair to complete the desired look of your cosplay, and that's where wigs and hairpieces come in. A simple white dress can be transformed for use as a cosplay of Princess Leia from Star Wars with the addition of her iconic double-bun hairdo.
