Polystyrene Fabrication and Modelling
Expanded polystyrene is now generally accepted as being one of the most versatile materials in use in TV and movie studios. Although it has certain properties which render it liable to be classed as a fire-risk, there are grades available which are sufficiently fire retardant to pass the regulations in most studios. Its lightness and strength make it ideal for the production of large props and scenic items while the speed with which it can be worked makes it an attractive material where time and money are important.
