Chapter 4. Getting a Domain
As discussed in Chapter 1, "DNS Concepts," it is not enough to simply set up a DNS server; to get your domain into DNS, you must get a TLD owner to delegate to you the domain you want to own. This involves a registration process and possibly money and finding someone to run slave DNS servers for redundancy. So, how do you go about accomplishing this?
