- Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP)
A newer 32-bit video interface specification based on the PCI bus design. Rather than using the PCI bus for video data, the AGP system provides a dedicated point-to-point path between the video graphics controller and system memory via the North Bridge. The AGP bus was designed specifically to handle the high data-transfer demands associated with 3D graphic operations.
