Abstract:
This chapter introduces techno-economic analysis (TEA) methodology. Case studies of pulverized coal (PC), natural gas combined cycle (NGCC) and integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) systems without and with the impacts of CO2 capture are presented, illustrating the application of TEA methods and comparing performance, emissions and costs of these power generation alternatives.
