This case study is based on many interactive, overlapping findings from cognitive science concerned with attention and memory; situational awareness; the way humans store, process, and retrieve knowledge; and other related issues. Not surprisingly, the overriding thesis of this case study is that if cognitive findings are used to develop a user interface, user performance will be improved.
