Chapter 5. Cookies and Authentication
Have you ever clicked a link at a site only to be told “You must be a member to view this page”? When this happens, you usually are then presented with a Log In form where you can authenticate yourself as a member by entering your member credentials, such as a user name and password. There’s also usually a Sign Up Now link to a longer form where nonmembers can sign up to become members.
