Browsers
Browsers present a multiple column interface and are designed to display hierarchically organized information. For example, the column mode of the Finder uses a browser to navigate the file system.
Cocoa uses the NSBrowser and NSBrowserCell classes to implement browsers. An NSBrowser instance is a composite of many other objects. The object itself is normally contained within a horizontally scrolling scroll view and offers the option of showing or hiding the horizontal scrollbar. Each column of the browser is a single column NSMatrix containing one cell for each row. The cells are usually NSBrowserCell instances.
