What’s the Big Idea?
What’s the point?
This sounds like a question that an unhappy teenager asks when given an instruction by a frustrated parent. Or it might be the question you ask yourself first thing in the morning when contemplating a long day ahead at work? Either way it tends not to be a question that we linger on. It maybe we think that time is pressing and that we can’t give ourselves the luxury of time to delve into it. We might consider it to be an irrelevant question. We must go to work to earn the money that keeps the bills paid and food on the table.
But what if we did spend more time with this question? This question of purpose. How might that shape our thinking and our behaving?
