At the heart of learning, designing and developing is an assumption that each of us are in a process of becoming. We are people, individually and collectively, living a life which is an on-going process. There is nothing at all stationary about us, even when we might feel stuck in some ways. Classically, there are descriptors and stereotypes of what we experience of the life process in different stages of life. While they might have a ring of truth about them for some, they offer only a partial picture at best. Instead, each of us have our own stories of becoming, and these offer insights that we could not hope to find from a text written by someone else.
