CHAPTER 11Building Your Own CNC Plasma Table
This chapter details on the construction process of building a plasma table capable of working with a sheet of material 4 by 4 ft. The overall dimensions of the table are approximately 5 by 5 ft, so this unit should fit comfortably in most shop environments.
The main support area for the table and legs were constructed from 3 by 3 by 3/16-in thick wall steel tubing, with all of the joints welded (see Fig. 11-1). Now is the time to make sure the sections are square to each other. Note the pipe clamp being used to provide final adjustments prior to welding.
