Input Stages in the Frequency Domain

To complete the study of the circuits introduced in the previous chapter we need to consider also the effect of the capacitances which are unavoidably present in such structures. This implies addressing the frequency behavior of amplifiers, a task which is best achieved by working in the s-domain through the use of the Laplace transforms. This tool should be familiar to the reader from fundamental University courses and adequate treatments of the topic can be found in one of the many textbooks on linear electrical network [1, 2]. The systematic analysis of MOS integrated circuits in the frequency domain is covered in standard microelectronics textbooks [3, 4, 5, 6 and 7].
