Next-generation virtual reality (VR) is driving a new round of technological and industrial transformation. VR is an engine for China’s technological advancement and, since 2016, has actively been promoted by the government through various policies.
The emergence of cloud VR has freed VR from traditional computing restrictions, such as wiring and expensive hardware by using high-speed, stable dual-gigabit networks (5G + gigabit home broadband) to deliver cloud-based content, wirelessly, to VR terminals. It is not only cheaper for users, but also offers a better user experience, can be used in a wider range of scenarios, and features richer and more diverse content.
