Chapter 13. Case Study
This chapter introduces the case study and network diagram used as the basis for the remaining three chapters. Each of the final chapters discusses a particular aspect of the network in more detail, introduces common errors, and discusses how to troubleshoot them. The main components of a network, the physical layer, the data link layer, and the network layer are covered.
Our remaining discussions are focused on a financial service company. The company maintains electronic financial records for medium-sized corporations. The network needs to be able to:
