This chapter contains general information pertaining to cellular telephone communication and the use of the cellular handset only—it does not contain information concerning pagers and paging systems. The question of the possible health effects of the electromagnetic emissions that are radiated from a cellular system’s cell site antenna and from the antenna on the handset are discussed. We will also talk a little about cellular telephone security and the precautions you should take to make sure that your conversations on a cellular telephone remain private and that your business secrets remain secret. Cellular fraud, too, will be discussed.
