IN-CAMERA MOMENTS
This may not be the expected way of dividing kinds of moment, but it is the practical one. In making three sections—In-camera, Fast, and Slow Moments—I’m simply continuing what I did in my last book, Capturing Light. Which is to say, organizing it according to the way I, at least, actually shoot. First comes the kind of moment that exists in the viewfinder or screen, and not necessarily in the un-reconstructed world—in fact, often not in the real world at all. Give me a moment to explain.
