Robert Tartarin (1947–2001)
Robert Tartarin was my professor at the Université de Nantes in France. Beyond expertly guiding me throughout my master’s program, he inspired my post-graduation commitment to the field of econometrics. When my doctoral grant was cut because of a last-minute change in government policy regarding the age of applicants, I asked him to help me make some decision about my future.
