Multiple conversations that comprise the B&NE field

Any attempt to structure and characterize a research domain is certain to be contentious. There will be many that will disagree with our choices, both for what we have included and what we have left out. Again, we do not propose to be the definitive final word on institutionalizing the field. But, in our attempt at such a task, we hope to stimulate conversation among B&NE scholars to come to greater clarity over who we are and where we are going.
