In this chapter, you learned how to use a third-party API client to bring in outside information. This gives your Lita bot capabilities that would otherwise be a lot to build out yourself. You’ll find that taking a query from chat and sending it to an external API is a common theme throughout this book. After implementing a few of these examples, you’ll be ready to identify and integrate other useful APIs for your chatbot and your other programs.
