Preface to the Second Edition
Our goal in this edition was to strengthen the text in ways suggested by our colleagues and make the book more attractive to the students. We have updated the material on digital, Internet, and satellite involvement. While there are numerous additions and changes, the most obvious will be the addition of cartoons, most with an instructive aspect, to brighten the pages of type. In addition, we have added tips and comments from some 10 working professionals to support and enrich the text material. Sections of practice materials have been included after several chapters. Additional self-study Questions and projects have also been added at the end of many of the chapters.
